once upon a time in ASTI..

After reading book of Alain de Button “Havaalaninda Bir Hafta” we had to spend one or two hour in Asti and write an essay about our observations, since it was our first homework from IE102. Iwent Asti with my friend from our department Jeyhun Valiyev.
Being a foreign student, I haven’t been in Asti more than 10 times and generally I don’t care what are people doing, when I go Asti. It was I my first chance to observe what are they doing.. As usual when we enter terminal groups of people which are called “çığırtkan” welcomed us.

They want us buy ticket from their company. Although doing it is forbidden and there is announcement about they in each five minutes that is forbidden and we should not trust them, we cant walk freely during our observation. After 5 minutes after security man stopped us and say it is forbidden take photos there. He make us wait for 10 minutes then he call director and then sais us we should erase photos or they will take our cameras. So we don’t say anything and leave here as if we erase photos and leave. Then we decided to go out and count buses enter the terminal. In approximation for every minute 2 busses enter terminal. I don’t write anything about busses exit terminal because they exit only in each 30 minutes.

Afterwards, we went and speak with shoe-shiner and he told some interesting situation. He said Asti is house of orphans in every night. Every night houseless child come Asti to sleep, because Asti isn’t closed at nights.

He also said that Asti generally is crowded first and last day of holidays.. We also asked how much many does he earn per day. He answered it changes between 30-70.
