Maestro: Industrial Engineer of Orchestra

Think about one factory which has a headworker, some parts and each part has its own leader. There one handbook for learn how to work but it isn’t enough. They have to wait sign to start from head worker. Orchestra is kind of system that have similarities with factory I described. It was my first experience in orchestra concert and it was really interesting. Until now, I don’t understand some points here, how the musicians concur, do and how they understand maestro??!! Even I thought that if maestro doesn’t do anything they would continue. I mean, actually, they don’t follow maestro just follow their handbook, but in fact it isn’t true. If we come back to my simile how this factory makes products. To make product, all workers have to follow headworker’s commands and if we examine each worker separately we don’t understand what they are doing, like one worker just doing something with hummer other just paints or another worker just sitting and controlling quality but as whole they make something. As factory if we look at our complex system: Orchestra we can see good combination of separate works which are interesting, curious and successful and separately isn’t successful and gorgeous as it is. For make good music (instrumental music) it isn’t how individuals are good, it is important how they accommodate to others.
In conclusion, I have to point out that it was really good experience to go symphonic orchestra concert. Before going the concert I was thinking about relation between Industrial engineering and symphonic orchestra and I was sure that there must be relation. And now I know the answer, symphonic orchestra is very complex system which is managed by maestro is good sample for any other complex industrial system In this system work of each worker is as important as work of headworker where workers are instrumentalists and headworker is maestro of that complex system.
